Do not pay a scammer to take your money and apply, check the official government web site to see if you can get a mortgage modification.
Remember, you cannot force the mortgage company to modify your loan. That went out with the Senate sinking Chapter 13 bankruptcy reform.
I agree with John Kiff’s analysis, too little, too late. Even that is overstating the effectiveness of the Obama mortgage plan. He is paying the same servicers who cannot accurately track the mortgage payments that are made, to do modifications.
